Practice Task: Pepsin Enzyme & pH
Practice Task: Pepsin Enzyme & pH
Pepsin activity is slow near a neutral pH
Does pH affect pepsin activity
Pepsin is highest at very low pH and decreases as pH increases towards neutral.
The statement can be tested by measuring pepsin activity over a range of different pH values. If pepsin is highest at low pH and decreases as pH increases, then the hypothesis can be accepted.
