• An observation is something that you can see or find out using your senses:

  • • Sight

    • Touch

    • Hearing

    • Smell

• When making observations, it is important to be specific, giving details and measurements where possible. 

Objective

• To carry out experiments and make observations and inferences.

Instructions

1. 1. For each of the activities, carefully read the materials needed and the method. 

   2. In your notebook, draw up a table like the one below. 

      1. • In the right hand column, you will record your observations, using complete sentences. 

         • Use as many senses as possible - sight, touch, smell and hearing - but DO NOT taste any of the chemicals.
